The Executive Customer Advisory Board (ECAB) was Pure Storage’s first-ever gathering of a select group of C-suite executives and senior customer leaders. The goal was to create a highly curated, trust-based environment for strategic dialogue, product feedback, and long-term partnership alignment.

This inaugural ECAB required white-glove execution, discretion, and absolute precision — both strategically and operationally.

the challenge

As Pure Storage’s first ECAB, there was no prior template to reference. The program needed to:

  • Establish credibility and trust with highly influential executives

  • Deliver a seamless, premium experience across multiple days

  • Balance strategic agenda content with meaningful relationship-building

  • Reflect the importance of the audience while protecting confidentiality

The stakes were high — this experience would set the standard for all future ECABs.

my mandate

I was brought in to:

  • Lead all event logistics, venue strategy, and onsite execution

  • Ensure flawless delivery of evening experiences, group activities, and networking moments

  • Partner closely with the Customer Marketing team, who owned audience selection and agenda design

  • Act as a trusted extension of the internal team for a high-visibility, executive-facing program

what I led & delivered

  • End-to-end ownership of logistics, venue selection, and onsite execution

  • Management of a high six-figure executive program budget, delivering the program under budget

  • White-glove planning and execution of:

    • Executive arrivals and departures

    • Premium evening experiences and hosted networking

    • Group activities designed to foster peer connection and trust

  • Close collaboration with Customer Marketing to ensure:

    • The right executives were in the room

    • The environment supported the strategic goals of the agenda

  • Calm, discreet onsite leadership ensuring a seamless experience for executive-level stakeholders

impact & outcomes

  • Delivered a flawless inaugural ECAB, setting a high bar for future programs

  • Achieved five-figure cost savings while maintaining an elevated executive experience

  • Earned a formal “A” grade from the Pure Storage Founder

  • Achieved a 98.5% Customer Satisfaction score in post-event surveys

  • Contributed directly to business impact:

    • One ECAB member closed an significant deal with Pure Storage, explicitly citing their ECAB participation as a key factor

    • The executive shared that following the ECAB, they were fully supportive of the bundled investment and helped accelerate internal approval
